Easter craft ideas don’t come easy for many parents, but having a list of fun, simple Easter craft ideas for adults and kids will make this Spring season one to remember!

You can use just about any materials you have at home to create DYI Easter craft ideas.

Get creative and choose projects that are age-appropriate for your kids.

Easter Craft Ideas: 15 Fun Activities For You and the Kids!

Decorate Easter Baskets

If your family is going to fill and hunt for Easter baskets this season, basket decorating makes the perfect Easter craft idea!

Purchase an Easter basket weaving kit for your friends and family and enjoy spending time together crafting!

When you’re done making the baskets, fill and hide them as part of your Easter celebration.

Pot Easter Plants

If you’re ready to spend some time outdoors, put Easter plants in pots that you and your family decorate.

Begin by painting the pots using Spring-themed colors. You might prefer pots that are already painted instead of decorating your own and that’s perfectly fine!

Then, pick out your seeds or plants. Choose spring flowers, vegetable seeds, or other fun plants of your choice, as well as potting soil.

Put soil in the pots, place plants or seeds in the soil, and water it. Put the pots in a sunny area and watch the seeds sprout or your plants grow!

If you’re interested in a simple, stress-free way to decorate pots without shopping for individual supplies, consider a paint and plant flower growing kit as a fun project for you, your spouse, and your kids!

You might also try trying a fun, but easy, DYI Easter bunny pot project.

Make Easter Wreaths

Whether you prefer to make a traditional Easter wreath, a beautiful burlap Easter wreath, or your own unique creation, making wreaths is the perfect Easter craft idea for you and your family.

Simply purchase a wreath frame, have your kids help you pick out Easter-themed wreath add-ons, and get creative this season!

Create Mason Jar Easter Vases

One of the simplest, yet highly impressive, Easter craft ideas to consider is to paint mason jars. Use pastel solid colors, along with Easter-themed designs if you’d like, when painting the jars.

After the paint dries, fill the mason jars with fresh or artificial Easter flowers as a centerpiece for your next Easter brunch or family gathering!

Mix Up Easter Slime

Make Easter slime this year with your kids, so they have something fun to play with after craft time ends. Try the following fluffy slime recipe:

Supplies

  • White or colored washable glue
  • Saline solution
  • Baking soda
  • Foam shaving cream
  • Easter confetti
  • Measure cups
  • Bowl
  • Spoons

Instructions

  • Add 3/4 cup of shaving cream to a bowl.
  • Mix in 1/2 cup of glue.
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda.
  • Mix in 1 tablespoon of saline solution.
  • Stir the mixture well.
  • Knead it with your hands and mix in Easter confetti if you’d like.
  • Enjoy this fun Easter creation!

Place the slime in Easter bunny slime jars (another fun Easter craft idea for kids).

Create Easter Egg Candle Holders

Make and decorate your home with Easter egg candle holders you create with family and friends this Spring season!

Supplies

  • Plastic Easter eggs
  • Tiny beads
  • Mod podge
  • Wooden discs
  • Wooden dowels
  • Wood glue
  • Paint
  • Candles
  • Drill

Instructions

  • Drill holes, the size of the dowels, in the top and bottom of each Easter egg.
  • Drill a hole (the size of the dowels) in the center of each wooden disc.
  • Paint the wooden discs a color of your choice.
  • Place a dowel in the hole of the disc (glue it in place).
  • Glue colored beads to the outer surface of each of the plastic eggs.
  • When the glue dries, thread three eggs (or more for longer dowels) on each dowel and top it with another wooden disc.
  • Rest an Easter candle on the top of each candle holder, light it, and enjoy your beautiful Easter craft idea!

Make Sock Easter Bunnies

Making sock bunnies with your kids is a fun activity and an Easter craft idea they can keep and play with afterward!

Easter sock bunnies are simple to make but they’re still an impressive accomplishment.

Simply fill a favorite colorful sock with uncooked rice, wrap clear rubber bands around it to create a round head and a round body, and cut the top of the sock into bunny ears.

Use hot glue to add on bunny eyes, a nose, teeth, a bow, a white felt belly, and the pom-pom tail!

Create Colorful DYI Easter Soaps

Consider making DYI colored Easter soaps that your kids can help you make and use in the bathtub! You’ll need the following:

Supplies

  • Bunny or Easter egg molds
  • Soap base
  • Orange essential oil
  • Soap colorant

Directions

  • Cut the soap base into cubes and place it in a large microwavable bowl.
  • Melt the soap in the microwave, stirring often.
  • Stir in the essential oil and soap colorant.
  • Pour the soap into bunny or Easter egg molds and allow it to set for a few hours.
  • Remove the soaps from the molds and wrap them in small cellophane bags.
  • Enjoy using Easter-themed soaps during your next relaxing bath!

Decorate Real Easter Eggs

What better way to celebrate Easter than by decorating Easter eggs with family and friends! Simply boil the eggs according to the hard-boiled egg recipe instructions.

Let the eggs cool.

Dye them, wrap them in stickers, or color them with crayons!

You might glue glitter, Easter confetti, or other crafty items to hard-boiled Easter eggs.

Don’t forget to refrigerate and eat them too, as eggs are loaded with protein and other essential nutrients.

Decorate, Fill, and Hide Plastic Eggs

Planning an Easter egg hunt is a fun Easter craft idea you can do with your entire family.

Fill plastic eggs with small toys, stickers, coins, slime, dollar bills, or nutritious snacks (skip the candy).

Glue glitter, confetti, beads, or stickers to the outside of the eggs if you’d like.

Hide the eggs indoors, outdoors, or both. Let younger (older kids too!) search for the eggs and open the fun goodies inside!

Create Wooden Spoon Bunnies

Family members of all ages will enjoy making these simple wooden-spoon Easter bunnies!

Supplies

  • Wooden spoons
  • White acrylic paint
  • Gray acrylic paint
  • Tacky glue
  • Light gray felt
  • Pink felt
  • Plastic eyes
  • Black marker

Directions

  • Paint the wooden spoons white or gray and allow the paint to dry.
  • Cut the felt into bunny ears and noses.
  • Glue the ears, bunny nose, and eyes on the wooden spoons.
  • Use a black marker to make whiskers, eyelashes, and a mouth.

Make these fun bunnies with your family and friends and decorate your kitchen with them afterward for Easter!

Make Easter Picture Frames or Collages

There are several fun ways to make Easter-themed pictures frames or collages, which are Easter craft ideas that capture memories and last a lifetime.

Simply purchase plain wooden frames and get out your hot glue gun, markers, or paint.

Glue on your favorite Easter-themed decor and get creative!

Take a family picture this Easter and place it inside of your newly crafted frame.

You might paint or stain a wooden plank, or use a white shiplap sign, and hot glue clothespins or metal clips to it.

Use the clips to clamp and hold pictures to create an Easter collage you can hang on your wall!

To create a simpler Easter craft idea for younger kids, consider decorating a foam picture frame with stickers.

Glue a magnet to the back so you can hang it on your fridge if you’d like!

Consider DIY Easter Jewelry

Fun Easter crafts don’t’ have to involve coloring or painting. Consider making Easter-themed jewelry with your loved ones this Spring season!

Try DIY leather earrings, beaded necklace or bracelet kits, or even friendship bracelets using yarn.

Get creative and wear your homemade jewelry during the next Easter gathering!

Make Healthy Easter-Themed Snacks

While technically not a craft, creating Easter-themed snacks is still a fun activity you can complete with kids of all ages.

And they’ll love eating the festive, yet nutritious, snacks they help create!

Use small or large cookie cutters in the shape of Easter eggs, bunnies, baskets, or other Easter-themed shapes.

Use the cookie cutters to shape cheeses, meats, sandwiches, or fruits — such as sliced bananas, kiwi fruit, apples, pears, watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, pineapples, or other favorite fruits.

You can make Easter shapes out of sliced cucumbers, bell peppers, cooked zucchini, cooked sweet potatoes, and numerous other nutritious veggies.

If you’d like to make an Easter-themed veggie tray or an Easter fruit tray, get creative!

Make a large colorful Easter egg, Easter basket, or bunny on a decorative serving platter.

Build or Decorate a Bird Feeder

Try something new by making a spring bird feeder as your next Easter craft idea!

Choose a DIY bird feeder kit or paint a ready-made wooden feeder with your family this Easter season.

Fill it with birdseed and watch the birds enjoy their next meal!
